Here is a brief introduction why and how we present some text pagess in ENGLISH LANGUAGE together with GERMAN LANGUAGE texts in the same page.

Approx. half of our titles are in German Language, including names of collections, sets, subsets, Biographic Records etc. Therefore, we decided to leave all related Webpages in German Language. And where adequate to content of our Media / eBooks, of course we introduced such Webpages in English Language or French Language.

What is Homiletics and what are Homiletical Studies, here is an explanation in a nutshell,
it means the Art (by the Priest) of preaching.

Today we could say as a kind of training for a Priest to present himself to the audience in the best way possible (he thinks). And especially t(if he would be not selfish) to transfer God’s ‘message’ in the best way to his audience – Christian Believers.

That’s the reason why we think that it’s a good idea to use this Benedictine Convent Library with its Sermon Collection titles and our eBooks, for research with the content of the texts.

Of particular interest from a rare and closed location are two objectives:
First, to examine internally and to understand, what was / is special about this community of a women’s Convent, i.e. to which freedoms and constraints the nuns were subject to. In social psychology, we would speak of peer pressure, which could be weighted on the nuns. So it’s simple, show me the books you (the nuns) read and I I tell you who you are!.

A second objective is the external impact of the nuns to the society, i.e., how embedded were they in the population? Today, this is no longer an issue, given all the social responsibilities the church has accumulated.

We are convinced that these Books in this Library – read or acquired – could elaborate evidence towards such objectives – retroactively seen.
