RELIGION

Religion, works from a significant Convent library, originally printed in the 16th-19th centuries.

New publications in eBooks.

As indicated on our Spirituality webpage, the Baroque era and its significance for Catholicism have been largely neglected in academic research.

However, these works represent a treasure trove of theological thought and religious philosophy, capturing the essence of Spirituality from diverse perspectives during a pivotal period in history.

They encompass sermons, meditations, and commentaries that address the human quest for understanding divine grace, morality, and the ultimate purpose of existence.

The collection highlights influential authors who shaped theological discourse and provided profound insights into faith and human nature. But also not so well known writers and titles.

Among these writings, one finds reflections on the interplay between reason and devotion, as well as on the evolving concept of salvation across centuries.

This is especially true in the “traditional” disciplines of church history and historical studies, where research focuses more on new developments (as we can see it today…), instead to consider traditional impacts in the past – and coming from the past – into present times.

Here is a brief introduction why and how we present some text pagess in ENGLISH LANGUAGE together with GERMAN LANGUAGE texts in the same page.

Approx. half of our titles are in German Language, including names of collections, sets, subsets, Biographic Records etc. Therefore, we decided to leave all related Webpages in German Language. And where adequate to content of our Media / eBooks, of course we introduced such Webpages in English Language or French Language.

So, let’s continue here with German Language for some names and titles.

Neumayr schrieb ueber Exerzitien.

We’ll leave you with this brief introduction to the names of authors and some of their titles.
Please keep in mind, this selection above is a very small selection from our collections.
The selection introduces three well-known authors of this period, but many authors who are forgotten or who were not so well known at the time or were anon. writers, deserve attention.

Over the boards we have hundreds of anonymous titles (within each of our collections!) and waiting to ‘unmask’ the writer(s), send us an email if you’d like:

The titles in our collections are structured according to the Regensburg System for Theology in academic libraries. And are embedded in a same way in our structure as presented.

Our eBooks serve the fields of Religion, Theology, Literature, History, Social History, Women’s studies, and Mentality research within various Centuries.
